Wazdidadilh - Aboriginal Infant & Family Development Program

Wazdidadilh is an early intervention program funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), Northern Region Early Childhood Development Initiative. We opened in 2002 as an Urban Aboriginal Early Childhood Development Program, serving over 120 young children and their families to date.

We offer on-site individual family and group services, as well as outreach services.
Services include parenting education, early childhood development support, language & culture services, food services, early family literacy services, and infant and child development assessments.
We also offer a clothing exchange, a toy and resource lending library, and a healthy meals program.
We also offer transportation to and from programming.

Home visits take place when families first start with the program and then on-going as needed. During these visits, staff provide support, information and possibly child assessments. They may also make referrals for the children and families to other.

We also provide weekly onsite services in three neighborhood centers across the community.

We host and facilitate the Northern Aboriginal Early Childhood Development Network.
