The Native Healing Centre provides a holistic and culturally sensitive program to Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people who live in Prince George and surrounding areas and who have been affected by physical, emotional, sexual, or spiritual abuse. Inherent in this work is the ability to address addictions, self identity, and other issues.

The Native Healing Centre offers assessment, treatment, family reunification, coordination of ancillary services and long term follow up for survivors, abusers, their extended families, and for their community. We work with many community partners to ensure the best service possible.
Treatment is delivered primarily by Counsellors in cooperation with appropriate professionals (ie. Psychologists, Psychiatrists, etc).

The program also involves the resources of various community based support groups and elders.
The Native Healing Centre is located on the 5th floor of the PGNFC, our services include:

  • Child and Youth Services
  • Alcohol and Drug Counselling
  • Victim Services
  • Sexual Abuse Treatment
  • One on One Counselling
